Chapter 41: Demonic Wyvern
On the Other Side...
The Scout led the group in silence.
Bob, glancing around nervously, asked, "Where are you taking us?"
The Scout didn’t respond right away. A few tense seconds passed before he finally said,
"We found a ritual altar. I’m taking you there."
He added with a half-smile,
"We need as many minds as we can get. At least one idea might work, right?"
The group exchanged uneasy glances but nodded. They continued walking.
After several minutes, they arrived. The altar was small, barely a meter across, but ominous in its stillness.
The Old Guide stepped forward to examine it.
But before the others could join him, the Scout summoned a dagger and thrust it into the Guide’s neck.
Gasps erupted.
