Chapter 80: Malum I
"What I’m trying to say is that I’m a direct undead of a Skull Lord. Who are you?" Malum said.
Riven, who was healing fast, crawled to his hands and knees, coughing. He didn’t know if he should be glad or not. What he did immediately, though, was crawl away from the place, hiding behind a tree.
He knew a fight when he saw one, and this one wasn’t the type he wanted himself involved in.
Zandrel sneered. "You don’t know me, but you will. My name will resound among the heavens! It’s only a matter of time, and I must say, it won’t be bad to have you as my puppet as well."
Riven winced when he heard that. He’d never seen a more shameless person than Zandrel before. He ignored them and summoned a Grave Knight. He handed his stone necklace over and commanded it to go far away from the place.
Although the compound was sealed, it was still large enough for his Grave Knight to hide. If anything happened, then at least he would appear at a safer distance away.
"What do you want with him, Malum? You don’t know what you are dealing with here. Go away, and my master will overlook this," Zandrel warned.
Malum shrugged and scratched his chin. "No. I can’t help it. It was a mission given to me by my master. Do you want me to disobey? He won’t like that, you know."
Zandrel’s eyes flashed, the white glowing like trapped lightning. "So we will fight."
Suddenly, golden threads were outlined all around them, connected to the two constructs beside him and all the buildings that surrounded them, even connecting to Kivara.
