Chapter 61: How to fight a Necromancer
"Just how are you doing it!" Riven growled as he rubbed his chest.
Jasper watched him curiously and casually. "And how are you doing what you are doing? As a Necromancer, you should not be this strong. Necromancers rely on their summons and spells, but you are strong and fast. How are you doing it?
"Even now, the punch that I gave you should be more than enough to make you stagger, but you are still standing as if nothing hit you."
Riven didn’t say anything. His Sigil could simply contain more aura than normal, and so he had a lot of aura to work with. He focused on his opponent and tried to think about what he was doing. ’.. teleportation? But that won’t explain why I couldn’t move, and it was as if I was being drawn towards him... wait... drawn towards him...?’
Riven looked down immediately and studied the footprint of the place he was standing and that of Jasper. Since the fight began, there was only one set of footprints. It wasn’t Jasper’s.
’... I’m the one that was moving... not him!...’
Jasper was looking at him, and immediately he saw the expression on Riven’s face, he smirked and raised his hand to gesture. The space around him warped again, and without missing a beat, Riven slid his sword to the ground, thrusting in!
His sword pierced the stone floor like mud just when a force suddenly gripped his body and yanked him forward. The sword in the stone screeched, and small sparks flew into the air as the force pulled harder.
Riven’s hand was like steel on the sword, but his shoulder was flaring with pain as the force increased. ’... ah! I guess I will have to go the complete necromancer way...’
"Heed me, Grave Knight!"
