The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2788: Aren’t They Just Giving It Away?

In the Abyss, as Carson Flores and Nerisse Blaine disturbed the dunes, the Crystal Scorpions hidden below sprang out from underground, their eyes red as they pounced towards the two of them.

With a wave of his hand, several hundred Flying Swords appeared in the air, quietly hovering around Carson Flores.

Primeval Myriad Sword Art!

These Flying Swords were trophies Carson had acquired in the past. While their quality couldn’t compare to the Nebula Sword, they were still quite extraordinary, as those of poorer quality had long been disposed of by Carson, leaving no room to keep them.

Each sword emanated a powerful Sword Intent, stirring the Sword Qi, causing the Demonic Qi throughout the entire Abyss to roll wildly, bringing about an immense sense of oppression.

The Crystal Scorpions from the Sand Sea soared into the sky. As Carson, suspended in mid-air, gathered his strength, his whole body shone with Golden Light, even his eyes seemed to turn gold.

Carson raised his gaze, and as the Sword Intent moved with his thoughts, it instantly surged forth. Each Flying Sword appeared like a Swordfish, hundreds of Swordfish converging into a vast Sword Qi River, rushing towards the Crystal Scorpions soaring high.

The first Crystal Scorpion collided with this river of Sword Qi composed of hundreds of Flying Swords. Its hard skull shattered instantly, along with its massive pincers, and as it was touched, its body continued to fragment until it became a pile of scattered shards, plummeting downward.

The second one, the third one...

The Crystal Scorpions, fearless magical beasts, continuously perished in the front, yet those behind persistently pressed forward without fear, charging into the vast Sword Qi scene, only to be crushed.

Nerisse Blaine watched this scene beside him, her eyes suddenly brightening.

"So this is the Primeval Myriad Sword Art, no wonder it’s such a powerful Top Tier Metal Attribute Cultivation Technique, its power is truly immense."

While controlling the Flying Sword River to slay the emerging Crystal Scorpions, Carson even had time to turn back and laugh in response, "It’s even smoother than I imagined, indeed formidable, definitely worth the trip!"

Nerisse Blaine chuckled lightly, "You’re using the Primeval Myriad Sword Art now, what about the cultivation techniques you were good at before, show them to me."

Carson laughed, "The techniques I practiced before couldn’t compare to the Primeval Myriad Sword Art. Once I started cultivating it, I discovered that it had been completely overshadowed and replaced, leaving no trace behind!"

Nerisse Blaine looked into Carson’s eyes, smiling knowingly, "High-Order Cultivation Techniques do have the potential to overshadow Low-Order Techniques, you’ll get used to it."

Carson laughed, "Fairy Blaine, you are the Saintess of the Separation Sea Sect, a prodigy of the heavens, won’t you show me a skill or two?"

Nerisse Blaine smiled slightly and tossed out a Red Silk Ribbon, which appeared as a square piece initially, but in the blink of an eye, it expanded to enormous proportions, covering the sky like a canopy, descending upon the Crystal Scorpions below.

The immense creatures were enveloped by this Red Silk Ribbon, which softened instantly, becoming as fluid as water, adhering completely to their bodies. As the ribbon glowed, the enormous creatures struggling frantically to tear it apart went quiet, no longer moving.

Carson widened his eyes, watching the Red Silk Ribbon unfold again, as the bodies of the Crystal Scorpions fell directly to the sandy ground without any struggle, the most important part being that their bodies remained unscathed.

Like what?

Carson thought for a moment and finally found the fitting description: these Crystal Scorpions felt like they had been vacuum-sealed in plastic bags, dying instantly without warning!

Faced with such a technique, if it were aimed at him, would he be able to handle it?

Carson pondered and came up with an answer.

If he managed to escape before it entangled him, he could enter the Ethereal Pagoda or use Talismans to flee, but if it managed to ensnare him, he would likely have no way to escape.

Carson speculated that this Red Silk Ribbon wouldn’t be as simple as it seemed; there must be some hidden superkill technique within. Otherwise, why would Nerisse Blaine, as the Saintess of the Separation Sea Sect, one of the Twelve Immortal Gates, use such a seemingly simple magical treasure?

"Impressive! If someone gets entangled by your Red Silk Ribbon, escaping would be extremely difficult..."

Nerisse Blaine smiled, "It depends on strength. Someone strong enough can forcibly break free, but for those of equal or lesser strength, escaping is certainly not easy."

Carson chuckled, "If I get caught by your Red Silk Ribbon, I’m done for."

Nerisse Blaine smiled slightly, a hint of playfulness in her expression, "I don’t believe it."

Carson was slightly taken aback, not expecting Nerisse Blaine to speak to him with such a playful expression.

After a brief pause, Carson smiled, "Before being completely enveloped by the Red Silk Ribbon, I should be able to put up some struggle, but once it’s fully wrapped around me, I doubt I could escape..."

Carson’s expression remained relaxed, spreading his hands, "I’m a cautious person, usually running away at the first sign of danger. I wouldn’t wait for someone to show their ultimate tricks against me. While I’m not good at much else, I’m pretty adept at running and surviving; otherwise, I wouldn’t be alive today."

Their techniques didn’t halt during their conversation. They continued their frenzy of slaughter against the emerging Crystal Scorpions. Even some Crystal Scorpions of Great Land Immortal grade, bursting from the depths of the Sand Sea, couldn’t withstand the duo’s overwhelming Combat Power.

Carson was in the Carp Dragon Realm, while Nerisse Blaine was a Superior Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal. Together, the Crystal Scorpions erupting from below were slain one after another, falling like rain to the ground.

Nerisse Blaine turned her head in surprise, realizing that even though her cultivation level was one rank higher than Carson’s, there seemed to be no difference in combat capability.

For every one she killed, Carson would also slay one, the speed never falling behind!

Was the Combat Power really that formidable?

How could it feel no weaker than her own Superior Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal level; was it because he was now practicing the Primeval Myriad Sword Art?

It had to be said, Top Tier Cultivation Techniques were truly too powerful.

Soon, the two of them had slaughtered all the emerging Crystal Scorpions and happily gathered up the spoils.

"Thirty-five tails."

Nerisse Blaine smiled joyfully, "That’s three hundred and fifty points. If we were doing a task, who knows how many years it would take to earn such an amount."

Carson asked curiously, "Even though these Crystal Scorpions aren’t weak, the Immortal Gathering Island disciples themselves have many capable individuals. Can’t they form groups to hunt them? Why offer such a high price of ten points per tail, compared to the points’ tasks they previously listed, this feels like they’re just giving away points."

"Indeed, they are giving them away!"

Nerisse Blaine chuckled charmingly, "If it weren’t for the previous Magic Spiders attacking the outpost causing many casualties, even discovering this place, even if the Crystal Scorpions’ stingers are useful, they would never offer ten points each."

"After the Spider attack incident, everyone was on edge. Many foreign cultivators began to ponder if they were willing to risk their lives for some cultivation techniques or resources..."
