Samantha Tate had gone to bed early, because tonight, Carson Flores belonged to Shirley Miller.
She and Carson Flores had already held a ceremony and entered the bridal chamber that day, so naturally, she wouldn’t compete with the sister who adored and loved her.
Originally, she hadn’t planned to participate in this ceremony. She wanted her sister and Carson Flores to have it alone. One reason was that she felt guilty; another was that she believed it should be her sister’s solo wedding ceremony since she had already had hers.
But Shirley Miller wouldn’t allow it, and since there were no outsiders, they ended up holding the ceremony together, which was considered binding for three lifetimes in front of the elders and parents.
When Carson Flores arrived in the bridal room, Shirley Miller was sitting cross-legged on the bed, her head still covered by a red bridal veil.

Carson Flores lifted the veil, looked at Shirley Miller’s gorgeously delicate face, and said with a light laugh, "Well, it’s been quite a few years, and I’ve finally bagged this wife of mine. It hasn’t been easy playing the role of a fake husband."
