Heath Wells’s face changed drastically he bowed again: "Master is kindhearted and merciful. Even in such a situation, you still did not deadly harm my True Soul. Heath Wells is grateful for the mercy of sparing his life!"
Carson Flores waved his hand dismissively: "At that moment, my instinct was that since you are from the Demon Race, you might have been turned during your contact with them and returned to kill me. That’s why I wanted to hold you to question you about the inside story. Thankfully, if I had directly moved to kill you, your death would have been truly unjust."
Heath Wells had previously thought that it was because he hadn’t returned on time, and Carson Flores was warning him in this way, yet he hadn’t expected it to be such a huge misunderstanding.
Thinking that he had nearly died without reason, Heath Wells was filled with fear.
Fortunately, Carson Flores still wanted to control the situation to inquire, if he had not asked anything and simply crushed his True Soul, then he would have truly died as unjustly as Carson Flores had said.
