Carson Flores had scarcely finished speaking when the entire altar, along with the temple’s floor, silently shattered to pieces, as if an invisible mountain had just crushed the platform from above.
Carson Flores heaved a sigh of relief, realizing that if nothing unexpected happened, Lilly Compton would likely have to follow him in leaving. He certainly didn’t want to attract any trouble for himself.
