Carson Flores looked her over for a while and smiled, "Not bad, unless someone extremely familiar observes you up close, no one will recognize you as the Demon Race Holy Maiden."
Lilianna Norman gave a bitter smile, "As the Demon Race Holy Maiden, on the Demon Race’s territory, yet having to hide and not dare show my face, it is quite ironic."
Carson Flores was unconcerned, "It’s only temporary."
Lilianna Norman stared into Carson Flores’s eyes, "You are the Human Emperor, and I am the Demon Race’s Holy Maiden. Logically, shouldn’t you take my life while I am weak? You saved me before, preventing the Demon Ancestor from possessing me, which I can interpret as you not wanting the Demon Ancestor to be reborn."
"But after you took me away, I was already at death’s door. Why would you still save me? Letting me die and burning my body to ashes would have been better for the Human Race, wouldn’t it?"
Carson Flores just laughed, "I didn’t think that much, I just saved you."
Lilianna Norman bit her lip, clearly not believing Carson’s reasoning. She thought about it and then looked at Carson with bright eyes, "Is it because of the Demon Emperor?"
