Carson snapped back to reality, "Right, that tone of speech does suggest it. How could a Human Cultivator become a Guard of the Valley of Death, and what about that middle-aged man? Why didn’t he take action to kill us?"
Samantha Tate thought for a moment and said, "The woman in white had blood-red eyes, while the middle-aged man seemed lost and blank, but his eyes did not show the color of blood. I think the woman in white must be a Guard controlled by the Valley of Death, while that middle-aged man is not..."
Carson exclaimed with lingering fear, "The Valley of Death really lives up to its reputation. Not to mention the ferocious Demonic Beasts and the specters, just the woman in white alone is enough to slay intruders. Who knows if there are others like her, it’s too terrifying."
