Three days later, Delaney Hunter returned.
"The materials have all been gathered. I’m preparing to go into seclusion to refine all the remaining Sword Bones at once, which I estimate will take about three months."
Carson Flores smiled slightly, "Good, I’ll help you."
Delaney didn’t refuse Carson’s kindness, because refining the Sword Bones was an extremely dangerous task in itself, not to mention that what remained were the skull and vertebral bones. Any slight mistake could have horrifying consequences.
Carson possessed the means to quickly heal bones that were injured or even cracked, which could be a huge help in refining the Sword Bones and significantly reduce the danger involved.
Delaney stared into Carson’s eyes, "No matter what your method is, I’ll keep it a secret."
Carson chuckled and responded, "Sister, I trust you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t let you know, or even let you notice at all."
Delaney nodded, "Once I enter the state of refinement, I will be undistracted and continue refining in one go. What you can help me with is to treat my bones if they get damaged or are about to collapse during the process, preventing them from falling apart; nothing else needs to be tended to."
"Okay!"
"When such a situation arises, I will remind you. You treat me, and once the treatment is done, you can withdraw until the next time I cue you."
