Carson Flores made his way through the forest when his phone rang.
Leah Frost.
Carson picked up the call, but the voice on the other end wasn’t Leah’s; it was a man’s.
"Carson Flores?"
Upon hearing the voice, Carson had already identified the caller, Emilio Compton from the Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain.
"Emilio Compton?"
Emilio’s voice carried a hint of surprise, "You know who I am?"
Carson responded with a cold chuckle, "Heh."
Feeling mocked, Emilio’s tone turned harsh and malevolent, "Since you’ve already talked with your aunt, I assume you know what’s going on. I’ll give you half a day to bring the Water-Fire Mirror to me, or else, I will kill Leah Frost first. I hear she’s quite close to you."
Carson’s voice was calm, "I’m on my way now, so wait for me."
Emilio wanted to say more, but Carson had already hung up the call and continued to hurriedly make his way toward the Lakeside Camp.
