"Is there any other story?"
Quinn Cobb shook his head, "Even if there really was something, it’s often only clear to those involved, and they typically wouldn’t talk about it everywhere. I only know of this matter..."
Carson Flores nodded, not pressing the issue, and said, "Alright, enough small talk. Let’s discuss the matter of compensation."
Quinn Cobb’s eyes changed, his face filled with bitterness, "Mr. Flores, what kind of compensation do you want?"
Carson Flores smiled and said, "I don’t want money; given the way your sect condones deception and extortion, that money can’t be clean. We are cultivators, after all, so show me something good related to cultivation. As long as it satisfies me, I won’t require your unreserved allegiance, and we can write off our grievances. I’ll go my way to Mount Kahdas, and you can continue being the king of your mountain."
