After turning past a peak, Maxton James saw Carson Flores ahead.
Carson Flores was sitting on a rock as if resting, and Maxton James no longer hid his presence, leisurely revealing himself as he walked towards Carson.

Maxton laughed and got straight to the point, "I have a good relationship with Shane Fox."

Maxton’s gaze fell on Carson’s backpack, "You’ve made quite a haul this time, five Spirit Pills that could create five Great Masters. However, I’ve heard they also work wonders for a Great Master himself, and who knows, after using all five Spirit Pills, you might just break into the Innate realm."
Carson asked, "Do you know about the feud between Shane, Gunner Tate and me?"
Maxton shook his head, "I don’t know the details, but I know that the Sect Master ordered Shane to kill you, and that’s enough."
Carson let out an ’oh’ before asking, "What’s your rank within the Five Dragon Sect?"
Maxton stared at Carson, his eyes revealing a hint of confusion, "Elder... It seems you aren’t afraid?"
Carson chuckled, "Why do you think nobody else noticed my departure, but you did?"
