Carson Flores was amused, "Oh, there’s a time limit, huh? Isn’t that like playing tricks?"
Camille Rhodes said with a grin, "Isn’t it normal for a woman to act spoiled with her man? It’s a sign of closeness. Being all proper and by the book, that’s how you treat strangers. You’re not a stranger. Although, we’re not lovers now, you are still my closest person. Isn’t that right?"
Carson Flores didn’t insist further and played along, asking, "Okay then, what’s the time frame?"
Camille Rhodes looked at Carson Flores, "One month?"
Carson Flores laughed, "Is the validity really that short? That’s a bad deal."
Camille Rhodes said with a chuckle, "A month isn’t short. It takes just a moment for a woman to fall for a man, and it’s an instant to lose the feeling. A month from now, we might just be like strangers, and then I won’t have any interest in talking about it. After all, I won’t do anything that’s of no benefit to me and offends others. Don’t you agree?"
Carson Flores thought there seemed to be a bit of sense in that?
Although he knew Camille Rhodes was somewhat bullshitting him, the fact remained that the water had already reached the brim of the glass. If she really developed any feelings for him because of their one-night affair and went to Shirley Miller, it would still be a hassle.
