Conor Jimenez jolted with a start, his face instantly turning pale.
"Okay, Brother Eagle, I understand."
Conor Jimenez turned to Carson Flores, his attitude a complete reversal from his earlier arrogance, and said with utmost respect, "Mr. Flores, I’ll immediately go to Manuel Howard’s house to apologize and offer compensation. I’ll make sure to reduce any misunderstandings he has about me, and I will also persuade my brother to resign immediately."
Carson Flores instructed, "It’s not just about resigning, he has to cooperate with Ms. Miller. Whatever Ms. Miller wants to know, he tells, and whatever Ms. Miller wants to do, he does."
Conor Jimenez replied respectfully, "Yes, Mr. Flores."
Carson Flores stood up, "I’m leaving."
Brendan Stein tried to keep him, "Mr. Flores, we could say that we’ve met through a little conflict. Why not stay for a drink? Let’s become friends. How about it?"
Carson Flores chuckled, "Today, I came to cause trouble. I’m afraid that drink wouldn’t be quite enjoyable. Let’s hold off on that drink for now. Let’s get the matters at hand resolved first, and we can have that drink another time when there’s an opportunity."
