Chapter 255 - 243 Heavenly Yang and Earthly Yin Technique (1/3)
"Mother?" Zhou Heng murmured, without a doubt, feeling an incredible closeness the moment he saw the beautiful woman, as if there was an extraordinary connection between them.
This was the bond of mother and son, an inexplicable thread linking them together in the darkness.
"Heng’er!" Zhao Kexin was half-kneeling by the bed, wanting to touch Zhou Heng’s face with both hands, yet afraid that he was too badly injured, that even a gentle touch might hurt him. Her eyes were filled with guilt.
"Your mother has wronged you and your father!" Tears shimmered in her beautiful eyes, "Mother wanted so much to find you, but... but to do so would have killed you both!"
"Heng’er, you don’t know how much your mother has missed you!"
Zhou Heng tried to extend his hand, but intense pain was radiating from every part of his flesh and bones, causing his arm to fall back down as he tried to raise it. He gave a bitter smile and said, "Mother, I know, everything was caused by Zhao Duotian!"
"You should not blame your uncle too much, he was born with such a temperament!" Zhao Kexin interceded for Zhao Duotian.
Zhou Heng found it difficult to speak, so he simply listened quietly to Zhao Kexin.
Years of suppressed longing for her son burst forth from Zhao Kexin, as she rambled beside the bed about how she missed their father and son, without any particular focus, just speaking whatever came to mind. Zhou Heng, however, didn’t mind; having craved his mother’s love for so many years, he wouldn’t be bothered by whatever she said, content just to look upon her kind and gentle face.
Half a day later, Zhao Kexin went out to get Zhou Heng’s dinner, and Zhou Heng finally had time to digest what she had told him.
