Chu You read into Mother Lin’s doubts and smiled, "Homer has been performing very well in the company, bringing many positive influences to our department. The leaders value her greatly. Hearing about her leave request was quite surprising for us, therefore, we knew about this matter. They sent me to visit you on behalf of the company." He spoke quickly, showcasing an efficient and flexible demeanor.
Mother Lin looked at Homer with a surprised face, as if seeing her in a new light, while Homer just busied herself with pouring water.
"Hehe, you really are thoughtful, thank you, thank you."
"Don’t mention it, it’s our responsibility. We heard about Aunt Lin’s health decline. What seems to be the problem?"
Mother Lin then explained her health condition while Chu You listened attentively, occasionally nodding and asking questions. Meanwhile, Homer began peeling an apple. After peeling it, she first handed it to Mother Lin, who waved her hand, "Give it to Xiao You."
"Aunt Lin, have you eaten?" Chu You asked concernedly.
"I have. The nurses brought food over. They’ve taken good care of me."
Nodding again, Chu You felt it was time to conclude, stood up and said, "I’ve understood the situation. Aunt Lin, rest well. The company has approved Homer’s leave. I’ll leave you to rest now since I have to report back to the company. I wish you a swift recovery."
He turned to Homer and said, "Homer, take good care of your mother. Don’t worry about department affairs, we have a team handling everything. I must leave now."
