Chapter 219 - 214: A Light at the End of the Tunnel
The tale spoke of Enlightenment Dao’s fatal sword strike that beheaded Indra, just as his Primordial Spirit prepared to escape; however, another wave of Sword Qi immediately enveloped him.
Indra let out a roar, barely starting to yell for help, but the Sword Qi had already pierced his Primordial Spirit, sending chilling waves through it, and in the blink of an eye, ground him into powder. Enlightenment Dao took the opportunity to seize his Asura Mirror and swallowed it in one gulp.
"Junior Brother!" Vishnu couldn’t help but cry out in anguish, his eyes nearly splitting with rage, as he swung the Asura Ruler at Enlightenment Dao’s forehead.
Enlightenment Dao could not evade and only managed to slightly shake his head when the ruler struck him on the shoulder. Although he used Tai Chi Fist to deflect much of the force, he still was knocked down, tumbling upon the clouds in severe pain.
Even though Vishnu had hit him with a ruler, he had slain Indra with one sword strike. All in all, it was still worthwhile.
Indra had not expected that his visit to Shushan would end up being his demise. The Dao of Immortals was perilous—even for a formidable being like him, who had cultivated for ages, it ended in vain, turned to dust.
Enlightenment Dao, grimacing from Vishnu’s blow, now faced both the Green-robed Ancestor and Blood Demon Ancestor attacking together. Vishnu, seeing his Junior Brother slain by Enlightenment Dao, was fueled by immense fury. With the Asura Ruler in hand, he launched a relentless attack. Pulling out the Seven Stars Sword and summoning the Nine Swallowing Dragon Steles, Enlightenment Dao barely managed to fend off the trio’s assault, though it was extraordinarily taxing.
"Swallowing Dragon Stele, suppress!" Enlightenment Dao pointed at one of the Nine Swallowing Dragon Steles and directed it at Vishnu, causing the stele to immediately press down on him like a towering mountain.
Vishnu dodged with a quick sidestep and opened his mouth to spit out hundreds of Blood God Child clones. These clones rushed forward and exploded in front of Enlightenment Dao, sending shock waves of blood light rippling fiercely everywhere, causing the entire Secret Realm to tremble as if a dragon beneath it was turning over.
