The Battle in Journey to the West

Chapter 163 - 160: Lu Ya Furiously Kills the Imposter Xihe

There came to the Sun Goddess Temple a strange Taoist, short in stature, with a sallow complexion, holding a gourd in his hand.

What did this gourd look like? It had an infant depicted on it, the infant’s eyes tightly shut, and the gourd seemed to be made of fine jade, indeed it was the notorious Immortal-Slaying and God-Punishing Treasured Saber.

Latecomers spoke of this saber in poetry. How could they recognize such an excellent blade?

The poem said:

First refine the True Yuan, then operate the power; in this lies a mystery pairing male and female.

Only maintaining a bit of the Innate Secret Technique, slaying demons and executing monsters, nothing compares.

Who could this be if not Daoist Lu Ya? However, why Lu Ya would suddenly appear in Yingzhou was beyond everyone’s comprehension.

Lu Ya glanced at the demon kings and said, "Dear fellow Taoists, do not blame me, I was reckless just now, not knowing that you were all in the hall, so I directly used my Divine Skills intending to burn this grand hall to ashes. This is a private affair between me and the Sun Goddess; please, everyone, just watch from the sidelines!"

Lu Ya’s voice was gloomy and hoarse, and those who heard it felt as if a corpse was scratching a coffin board with its nails, hair-raising indeed.

Lu Ya’s mana was above that of a Hunyuan, far more formidable than those Twelve Golden Immortals, his escape from being captured by Lady Sanxiao with a Primordial Golden Dou long ago proof of his fearsome prowess! After Divine Enthronement, Lu Ya had handed the Immortal-Slaying and God-Punishing Treasured Saber to Jiang Ziya, and upon Jiang’s death, it was taken back by Yuan Shi Immortal Monarch and then returned to Lu Ya. With a moment’s thought, any could understand the reason, seeing the Magical Treasure in his hand, nothing was surprising.

"It turns out Daoist Lu Ya has a private matter to settle; it’s inappropriate for us to intervene. Just follow through with it," said Enlightenment Dao with a bow, leaving the hall with his brothers, yet still keeping an eye on the events within.
