The Battle in Journey to the West

Daoist Equal to Heaven knew he had caused a great disaster when he broke through the Southern Sky Gate in one shot. He didn’t have the blessing of the Three Pure Ones or various Great Emperors, and if the Heavenly Court sent a master, it would spell trouble.

As he was preparing to flee, he suddenly saw a streak of golden light flying towards him. He quickly grabbed it, finding it to be the very Sky-Breaking Divine Arrow that had shattered the Southern Sky Gate and came close to ending the life of the Jade Emperor. The Divine Arrow had now turned into an ordinary feathered arrow. Daoist Equal to Heaven glanced at it and realized he was still carrying the Sky-Breaking Divine Bow. Seeing no one around, he quickly gathered both Magical Treasures.

Daoist Equal to Heaven thought to himself, "These Magical Treasures are a waste sitting idle in the Hate Heaven Secret Realm, better I put them to use. It would be a shame to let countless efforts of the Ancient Hate Heaven Clan go to waste."

While he was feeling secretly delighted, the sky suddenly split open, revealing a black hole several thousand zhang in diameter, with a pair of cold eyes peering out at him. The gaze alone made Daoist Equal to Heaven feel his body stiffen, immobilizing both his Primordial Spirit and flesh. He couldn’t help feeling secretly alarmed. Since his resurrection, he knew not to underestimate the heroes of the world, but one after another, the figures that emerged were even more formidable, which was somewhat of a blow to him.

A gigantic hand reached out from the black hole, coming straight at him. Despite using all his strength, he was unable to move an inch.

Just as Daoist Equal to Heaven was resigned to his fate, a thunderous shout came from above. Four Divine Swords descended from the heavens, each brimming with endless killing intent. The four swords converged upon one Formation Diagram, pressing down mightily and forming a Sword Array. Sword Qi flickered within, Elemental Forces of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire flowed, and flashes of Primordial Chaos Thunder charged towards the giant hand. With a booming sound, as if thunder exploded next to the ear, the hand was repelled a great distance by the force of the Divine Swords.

"Do you really think this old man, Heaven-Penetrating, is so easily bullied, trying to capture someone with this shadow in front of my eyes?!" appeared Patriarch of the Highest Clarity, controlling the Sword Array as it surged towards the direction of the black hole.

The Sword Array blocked the person’s gaze, allowing Daoist Equal to Heaven to regain his ability to move. He quickly shook his body and fled into the distance.

The shadow coldly said, "I’ve been waiting for all of you for a long time. With just you alone, it’s not enough!"

Sect Hierarch Heaven-Penetrating cursed, "Let’s see your big talk! Show your real body!"

With a howling call, Daoist Equal to Heaven turned his head to see a stone coffin rising up from the sea, creating a huge spray of water as it flew into the sky. The lid of the coffin opened, revealing a person inside who was identical to Sect Hierarch Heaven-Penetrating. It was his body that had been severely damaged during the Middle Ancient Period. The body rushed towards him, and in an instant, they merged as one. Sect Hierarch Heaven-Penetrating let out a deeply satisfying and prolonged cry of exhilaration.
