Chapter 311: Bloodline Town
The sky was a hazy gray as white snowflakes drifted down onto the desolate wasteland of the Bloodline District.
A convoy drove across the frozen, broken road, consisting of massive cargo trucks, pickup war chariots carrying heavy firearms and fully armed personnel, and a behemoth of a black heavy-duty Off-Road Vehicle.
A few days after returning to the Kabukicho area, Gu He was accompanying Lorna on a delivery run to Bloodline Town.
The Fishpond was running smoothly. With Lu Jiu helping out, Gu He wasn't needed there.
"This dump," Lorna muttered, her fingers lightly drumming the steering wheel. "You couldn't even scavenge grass roots out here."
Gu He looked out the window. Snow covered everything, burying the broken, dead ruins beneath a thick white blanket.
No one cleared the snow out here. The convoy included a few snowplows, ready to deploy if they hit a stretch of road completely blocked by the drifts.
He had never been to Bloodline Town, but the situation wasn't hard to guess. That bastion, holding out amid the shattered ruins, would completely run out of supplies without outside deliveries.
Finding a bite to eat was especially hard during the winter, which was why supply convoys from the bloodliners made deliveries every year.
