Chapter 296: Prelude of the Small Sword Society
It was hard to say exactly when it started, but white snowflakes had begun drifting down from the faintly glowing red sky. The first snow of the year had arrived.
Bang, bang, bang!
Speeding bullets pierced the snowflakes and tore through the bitter wind, whistling toward the Red Rain personnel and the Huwei Escort Guards surrounded by a massive horde of killers in the street. Gunfire echoed endlessly.
Elizabeth dodged nimbly as she swung Sword Treasure, its edge slicing a bullet in half with a sharp crack.
More bullets were magnetically drawn to Sword Treasure, altering their trajectories to strike the blade with crisp, metallic clangs.
But Sword Treasure had endured a massive barrage of bullets since the ambush began, and faint spiderweb cracks were starting to show on the blade.
Elizabeth was devoting most of her strength to defense. Without her, this group couldn't possibly have made it this far without casualties, but things couldn't go on like this...
"User, please note: I cannot block bullets indefinitely," Sword Treasure chimed in with a warning.
The Sword of Oath and Victory boasted higher durability than the Sword in the Stone, but its limits were still very real.
