Night Hacker

Chapter 194: Yakuza

The movie theater wasn't large, and this screening room, with its outdated equipment and worn seats, could hold only a hundred or so people.

The audience was practically crammed together, watching a bloody horror film called Flower of the Little Shop.

Lorna ate popcorn as she watched, occasionally letting out bursts of amused laughter that felt entirely out of place in the tense atmosphere.

Compared to what they had actually experienced, the on-screen gore was nothing. That wilderness war had been terrifying enough.

Sitting right next to her, Gu He didn't go as far as screaming, but the film still gave him the creeps.

Neither of them knew much about movies; they were just there for the spectacle. By the time it finished, it was past midnight.

"Should we watch another one? Not a horror movie, though. What's more horrifying than living in this city?"

Walking out of the screening room and into the ticket hall, Lorna looked at the wall of posters for the midnight showings. There were other genres besides horror, and she was initially quite interested, but seeing his listless demeanor dampened her mood.

"Never mind, then. Let's go." Lorna headed out of the theater.
