Chapter 168: Vic's Gift
Vic Sterling, twenty-seven years old, overdrive, blood-eater.
Elizabeth's strongest impression of her half-brother was that he was very quiet.
She hadn't seen him often. Vic hadn't grown up in the Eden Lake District, and his presence was rarely seen in the Garden District, the Acropolis District, or the Central District. He was like an invisible man—existing, but unseen and unspoken of.
Bloodline was an unavoidable issue for Vic.
Within the consortium, bloodline also signified factional backing; it was inherently the greatest asset.
Both of Elizabeth's parents came from Seth's main families. Regardless of whatever illegitimate children they each had, the offspring of their union inherently possessed a higher status.
But for a very long time, Vic Sterling was nothing more than a bastard.
If he hadn't reached overdrive, he probably wouldn't have even been given the surname Sterling.
Elizabeth didn't believe her father would care about an ordinary person or a bastard with low supernatural talent.
