"Sword Treasure, what should I even say..."
Inside a VIP suite in the Central District New World Bank Building, Elizabeth muttered, gazing at Sword Treasure in her hands.
It was Wednesday morning, three days after the Kabukicho riots.
She had thought the Master would contact her early to offer some guidance after such a massive incident. He hadn't. If things went as usual, he wouldn't reach out until tonight.
Only now did she understand why the Master had told her to rest well this week. He had clearly foreseen it all.
In the middle of the night during the riots, Elizabeth had been hit with the latest disciplinary measures from the Bank and Seth.
All Red Rain Investigation Team operations were suspended, her authorization was frozen, and Santou had filed for arbitration with the United District.
As for Seth, her actions hadn't harmed their interests. If Santou took a fall, Seth would actually profit.
But the rules set by the United District did not permit such sabotage.
