Gu He sat alone on the sofa in the Fishpond's tekiya hall. Only he could see the brilliant, bizarre sea of data. The 0s and 1s gradually settled, and the gigolo value on the program progress bar cleared to zero.
As expected, recovering data only left him slightly dazed; the mental toll was different from establishing a contact.

"Huh?" Gu He perked up. Last time, first gear had only activated a single page of Hero of a Thousand Faces. Tier 3 yielded this much?!
If he activated and recovered data in overdrive, wouldn't he just take off?
Leaning back against the sofa, he opened the database to check his haul. The newly activated files were all sitting right there.
He briefly scanned the sixty pages of Hero of a Thousand Faces. That was almost two whole chapters.
