Chapter 6.4
He got out of the elevator and followed the valet to the car. Woojin reached out to place Haewon's violin in the back seat, but Haewon ignored his gesture, placing the case between his legs and hugging it with both arms.
Woojin drove off, looking straight ahead as if to say, 'Do whatever you want.' Haewon eyed him suspiciously.
"Did you really come?"
"You think I didn't come and that's why you were sitting there with such a gloomy face?"
"Who was gloomy?"
"You were sitting there gloomily. You couldn't concentrate, flipping through two pages of the score at once. Didn't you notice the woman sitting next to you glaring at you? You missed about three measures in the second movement. Luckily, you were focused during the Brahms. I like the expression you wear when you're into it."
"...I thought you didn't come."
Woojin had seen everything. In the first part, his fingers, sticky with sweat, accidentally turned two pages at once. He hadn't noticed the fellow violinist next to him giving him a glare. In the second movement, he had only pretended to play for about three measures, but fortunately, he could concentrate during the concerto. He had been watching from the start.
"So you tried to get into that guy's car because you were angry with me? Thinking I hadn't come?"
"It was cold, no taxis were around, and you didn't contact me."
"Cold, no taxis, and because he bought you bread."
"..."
