Chapter 259: Are You Worthy?
The taxi dropped Daniel off directly in front of the Everlight Moon Guild building entrance. After paying the fare, he walked toward the building, momentarily stunned by its beauty.
The Everlight Moon Guild’s main building looked like a majestic palace, with a façade of white and gold marble, streaked with shimmering silver and black veins.
Massive columns, engraved with dragons and famous powerful corruption beasts hunted by the guild, framed the double doors at the entrance, which were made of black and gold metal, adorned with a sword and crescent moon emblem.
Tall arched windows with stained glass depicted epic battle scenes, scattering the incoming light into vibrant colors.
The roof was covered with silver and dark blue domes, the central dome topped with a crescent-shaped crystal that shone like a star at night. Narrow spires at the four corners were topped with crystalline moon statues that emitted a silver glow.
After taking a quick look around, he stepped inside and made his way to the reception desk. As expected, it was very crowded, and he had to wait in line for a while.
"Excuse me, I’d like to meet with the management," he said once it was his turn.
Truthfully, even Daniel didn’t know exactly who he was supposed to meet. The only person he knew here was Naya, but August had told him to simply say he wanted to meet with the management once he arrived at the building.
So, he just repeated what August had told him.
"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked patiently.
"I don’t think so? But I’m sure if you give them my name, they’ll let me meet with them."
The receptionist gave him a strange look, making sure he wasn’t some scammer. Still, Daniel’s striking looks made her sigh as she picked up the phone.
