Alex's group ventured deeper into the Desert Ruins, and it wasn't long before they encountered a Flygon.
A high-level Elite Flygon spotted Alex from a distance and watched him intently as it hovered silently in the air.
The Flygon had positioned itself carefully to the side of Alex's group, remaining outside their direct line of sight unless someone intentionally looked in that exact direction.
Because of the fine sand constantly swirling through the desert air, spotting a Flygon in this environment was far more difficult than normal. The desert wind distorted visibility, and the creature's body naturally blended into the yellow-brown surroundings surprisingly well.
A normal Trainer would probably never have noticed it.
However, Alex had already known about this particular Flygon for quite some time because Gardevoir had sensed its life force earlier.
Even now, Alex pretended not to notice the Pokémon and continued moving forward calmly on Luxray's back. His expression didn't change at all, but internally, he was carefully analyzing the situation.
He asked telepathically, "Gardevoir, now that this Pokémon is closer, can you tell me more precisely how strong it is?"
Gardevoir focused her Psychic powers for a brief moment before replying, "It appears to be at a level similar to mine."
