Chapter 1541 - 1534: Bloodline (8)
Qin Zhiyou shook his head, "None of them. For something like this, is there any need for a man like me to lie? Having a few more female acquaintances, or fewer women, is insignificant to me. And especially in front of you, why would I deceive you? The truth is, I’m just friends with them, I haven’t touched any of them, including Xiang Yirou and Liu Yiyi."
The two people conducting the interrogation exchanged a glance, at least they remembered their objective, coughed, and one of them deliberately pretended to be mature, "Mr. Qin, we’ve finished asking questions. You can go back now."
Qin Zhiyou stood up, "If you need my cooperation in the future, you can call me anytime. I will definitely be honest. I just hope you can quickly catch the criminal who harmed my wife."
The two nodded, "That’s our duty."
When Qin Zhiyou returned from the interrogation room, he passed by the nursery.
Though there were a few maternity cases in the county hospital, the only baby placed in the incubator for 24-hour observation was his son.
Qin Zhiyou stood outside the glass window, watching the little guy inside occasionally move his tiny hands and feet. Compared to the child next to him, he was a full size smaller. The child’s hands were so tiny that placed in his palm, they were shorter than two of his finger joints. He hadn’t even had a chance to hold him yet.
The doctor said the child was premature, and before the premature birth, the mother hadn’t eaten or drunk, and she had been bruised. The child was clearly underdeveloped. Besides being small in size and having underdeveloped fingernails, there might also be other developmental deficiencies and possibly congenital diseases. All this needed further observation.
Qin Zhiyou watched outside for a long time before turning to return to the ward.
Being a father should be a joyous occasion, but he couldn’t feel any happiness. As long as the child and his wife were still in danger, as long as those two kidnappers and the team behind them hadn’t been unearthed, as long as the conspiracy against Hanhai hadn’t ceased, he couldn’t put down his burden even for a day.
