The Support Ate it All

I had a dream.

When I opened my eyes, a gray, fluffy cat was sitting on my chest.

It was in the so-called “loaf” position.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen this one.

I don’t think I’d seen it since midterms.

There was no real reason to shoo it away, so I just let it be and kept staring blankly at the sky.

Then, out of nowhere, a scruffy-looking puppy appeared.

It seemed wary of me, but even so, it trotted over with tiny quick steps before curling up right beside me.
