They seemed confused about why I was calling the priests over, but they still listened to me and went out to call them in.
I had been planning to go out to do this myself, but I stopped since I could see the way that the patients were looking at me.
At this point, it seemed like they saw me as the only thing that could save them.
Even if the caretaker was holding them back, there was no telling what they would actually do if I were to leave.
So that was why it was best if I stayed in their line of sight instead of heading out to call the priests in.
But I still didn’t do the same thing as I did with that one person, which made them anxious. It really seemed like they wanted to crowd around me to force me to heal them.
In no time at all, the priests came in.
I did the same thing as before where I created a layer of mist around them as protection, but it seemed like this incited the patients. They all looked at me as if they wanted me to put the layer of mist around them instead.
After all, they saw how I had cured that one demi human from before.
I just ignored them as I said to the priests, "Find one patient and use your purification magic on them. Use your weakest purification spells at first and slowly increase the intensity. I want to see just how much of an effect it has on them."
The priests all looked confused when they heard this, but they still nodded as if they had received an order and said, "Yes, Holy Son."
Wasting no time at all, they chose their patients and started using their purification spells on them. Though the effects clearly weren’t as good as when I used the divine energy mist on them.
