'I Reincarnated But Have No System? You Must Be Kidding Me!'

Chapter 50: Vulkris Awaken

In the vast, ancient world of Kalibu, not all creatures are created equal.

Just as humans are born with varying potential, so too are beasts—only their evolution is marked not by schooling or politics, but by fang, flame, and the flow of mana through their very bones.

To survive in Kalibu’s wilds is to face a natural order both brutal and divine, and the beasts of this world are ranked in a terrifying hierarchy that stretches from the mundane to the mythic.

Here are the eight stages of beast evolution in Kalibu, from the weakest to the most transcendent:

I. Normal Stage

These are the common creatures—cattle, forest animals, birds, and insects. They lack mana entirely, existing as nature’s background actors. Normal Beasts cannot level up beyond Level 3 and pose little to no threat to adventurers or tamers. They’re edible, breedable, and very often... expendable. But they make up the majority of Kalibu’s biosphere, serving as prey, mounts, or companions to low-level tamers.

II. Magical Stage

Known also as Magical Beasts, these creatures have managed to form a mana core—a second, heart-like organ no larger than a marble that allows them to harness the arcane energies of the world. This core is what distinguishes them from their mundane cousins.

Magical Beasts are typically found in regions saturated with mana such as Runewood, Dragon Mountain, Nocteria, and the aquatic nation of Mercradle. Their levels range from 3 to 29, and their abilities vary wildly depending on their species and mana affinity. Some breathe fire. Others cloak themselves in shadow. Some fly, while others phase through trees like ghosts.

Their mana cores grow stronger with use—straining and developing like human muscle. And with enough battles and feeding on enchanted resources, a Magical Beast can reach its next transformation.

III. Ascended Magical Stage
