Chapter 1: He’s Dead
Year, 1898
On a sunny day, in a quiet vegetable field, a man could be seen working, planting crops. He was bent over, pushing seedlings into the soil one by one. After finishing the batch in his hands, he stood up and stretched, straightening his back with a tired sigh.
"Haa... looks like this year’s going to be a hot one," he muttered, patting his back and glancing up at the sun, which was blazing brightly overhead.
But then, something strange happened—something impossible. Out of nowhere, a second sun appeared in the sky. It was much smaller than the first, but there was no mistaking it.
"Huh? What is that...?" he said, stunned.
He stood frozen, staring at the new light. But the shock didn’t last long. The small sun began to move—no, fall. It was dropping from the sky like a fireball.
"No..." he whispered, and then his eyes widened as realization hit. "That’s not a damn sun—it’s a meteor!"
Without wasting another second, he turned and sprinted as fast as he could, not looking back, not thinking, just running with everything he had.
But it was already too late.
The meteor had entered Earth’s atmosphere and was falling fast. In less than ten seconds—
BOOM
