The Epic of The Tyrant King's Chosen One

Chapter 38: The unstoppable duo

The borders were flooded with huntsmen and other warriors observing the situation from afar. Despite having the two strongest people there to fight the monsters, the king, in a strategic move, brought a group of twenty knights to help with control and the cleanup operation later, instilling a sense of security in the villagers.

As soon as they saw the king approaching, followed by his personal guard, the people started to part like the Red Sea as they trembled out of fear and reverence for their king. The leader of the extraction team greeted the king politely and explained the situation to him as quickly as possible.

"That's enough, " he said, stopping the leader from speaking further. With a swift and decisive action, he ordered, "Have your men and all the extras clear up the space. We will deal with this quickly." This reassured the villagers that the situation was under control.

The leader didn't have to be told twice as he turned to the group of men who looked battered and bruised, clearly exhausted from fighting so long.

"Alright, let's move out!" He ordered.

With no obstructions in their way, Hael and Ceremus walked into the heart of the fray, and without even having to communicate with one another, they got to work. Using their fists alone, they defeated every beast and monster that came their way.

The onlookers watched with amazement as the king and his guard were perfectly coordinated, exuding power and strength with each blow.

They would defeat the first flood of monsters and welcome the second flood with no problem, and after the fifth wave ended, the villagers could finally rest easily.

"I can't believe it took us an entire day to end these pesky creatures," Ceremus sneered. "I must've gotten a little rusty after being secluded in the palace all these years." He then turned to look at Hael, who still seemed to be in good shape.
