Gu Beihuai watched the nurse busily applying a hot compress to Tang Chuxia and felt very guilty.
But with a curtain separating them, it wasn’t appropriate for him to barge in.
The doctor, however, called out to him, "Family member, come here for a moment!"
Gu Beihuai, usually so arrogant, didn’t dare make a sound under the scolding gaze of the doctor and nurse and obediently stood beside the bed to be lectured.
"As the patient’s husband, how can you be so careless? Don’t you know that a woman’s chest is very fragile? Look how hard you hit her, it’s all bruised and purple!"
The doctor lifted the hot compress towel to give Gu Beihuai a quick look.
Gu Beihuai had no time to hide and saw the bruised area, which was immediately followed by a tender, pale color, leaving him dumbfounded.
The doctor was about to scold him some more when she noticed two streaks of blood streaming from Gu Beihuai’s nose.
He looked so silly and a bit dopey.
Tang Chuxia and the nurse were both stunned, then they couldn’t help bursting into laughter.
Gu Beihuai, covering his nose, ran off, "It’s just that I’m too heated up!"
The doctor joked with Tang Chuxia, "Your partner sure heats up easily, huh? You two must be newlyweds, right?"
