Gu Beihuai was pondering the meaning of that sentence when he felt a hand slip under the hem of his clothes.
A hand pressed against his belly. "Have you taken a bath?" Tang Chuxia asked softly.
Gu Beihuai hummed in response.
He remembered how Tang Chuxia had despised the smell on him during the day; after all, he was covered in wounds and blood when he had passed out. Although his clothes were changed and the blood was wiped off when he was unconscious, he wasn’t thoroughly cleaned.
It was quite normal to have an odor after so many days.
Men usually didn’t make a big deal out of such things, and his family was more concerned about his health than his smell, but the disdain Tang Chuxia used as an excuse still stuck with Gu Beihuai.
He made sure to take a bath that afternoon.
Before coming over, he even made sure to check for any strange smells on him.
