While Qin Zhan and Gu Beihuai were talking about him, Wu Haipeng was still with Dangdang, taking her to the Tang Family.
When getting out of the car, Wu Haipeng stumbled a bit. Dangdang thought it was just an accident, but Wu Haipeng’s face turned somewhat pale, though he didn’t show it.
Having dropped Dangdang off at the Tang Family, Wu Haipeng simply told her to keep her sister company, then he headed home.
Wu Haipeng had barely stepped out the door when he nearly fell, saved only by Gu Nanzhi who happened to pass by. Otherwise, he might have collapsed on the spot.
"Brother Haipeng, what happened to you?"
Gu Nanzhi exclaimed, rushing forward to support Wu Haipeng. He gestured for her to lower her voice so that Dangdang in the courtyard wouldn’t hear.
Being sensible, Gu Nanzhi steadied Wu Haipeng out of the alley and onto the main street, where they found a corner to sit.
Wu Haipeng felt a bit better, but Gu Nanzhi looked at him quizzically.
Suddenly she thought of something, "Do you need me to get my brother?"
