Chapter 294: C285
"I understand why Pushkin and the girls aren't going, but why not Wanda?"
Pietro pointed at Wanda, his expression filled with dissatisfaction.
Today was the day a group of them would go to Hell for a trial experience. But to his surprise, Wanda stood beside Leon, smiling as she watched them prepare for departure.
This immediately sparked Pietro's frustration.
Wasn't this discrimination?
Of course, beneath his display of irritation, there was guilt. After all, Hell was a place deeply ingrained in people's fears. Until one had truly witnessed it, unease was inevitable—even for those who were already strong.
Wanda's presence had become a source of reassurance for Pietro and the other young warriors. Ever since she had studied magic under the Ancient One, her strength had reached an unfathomable level. They weren't entirely sure just how powerful she was, but they had caught glimpses of it during their battle with Surtur, the giant of flame.
When no one else could deal with Surtur, a Heavenly Father-level being, Wanda had managed to suppress him to some extent with her own power. They had even heard the Ancient One praise her magical attainments.
With Wanda there, they would at least have a safety net.
But now, she wasn't coming.
Pietro felt a surge of unease.
