Chapter 676 - 675: Juan’s Headache
Cain’s communication with Regice was not as simple as it seemed.
Cain concealed many details. Although the final result wasn’t much different, several important aspects were overlooked.
For instance, why did Regice suddenly head in that direction, ignoring Noland’s warnings and even showing aggression toward Articuno? This led Noland to misunderstand the situation.
The true cause had much to do with Cain and Slowking.
During the previous battle, Slowking had fully activated the Blood of Mew, and Regice, from a great distance, sensed the trace of Mew, prompting it to rush toward that location.
However, midway, Mew’s signal disappeared, which enraged Regice, causing it to attack Articuno, who was obstructing it.
Thus, the primary reason behind this incident was the integration of the Blood of Mew into Slowking.
After Cain projected an image of Mew and the ruins where it resided into Regice’s mind, the Pokémon calmed down and began a dialogue with Cain.
Although the conversation with Regice was somewhat complicated due to the Pokémon’s rigid nature, the outcome was positive.
Cain explained to Regice that he might know where to find Mew but asked it to stay calm and avoid impulsive actions, as stronger trainers might soon appear to capture it.
Regice, being a simple-minded Pokémon, did not doubt Cain. After Cain showed it an image of Mew and the ruins, Regice decided to follow his instructions without question.
