Several fireballs, resembling meteors, appeared in the air and scattered in different directions, though some, under Garchomp's control, concentrated toward Slowking.
After using Trick Room, Slowking felt its normally heavy body become as light as a piece of paper.
A robust piece of paper?
With just a small effort in its steps, Slowking accelerated to its maximum speed, moving swiftly within the Trick Room's effect zone to dodge the Draco Meteor attack.
"Garchomp, Rock Slide! Block its path," Cynthia commanded quickly.
She had seen Trick Room used in other battles and knew how to respond.
Since Garchomp's speed had decreased, it was best to stay put and face attacks from a distance. Garchomp wasn't afraid of such confrontations.
Although Slowking moved quickly within the Trick Room's effect zone, it had never fought at that speed before, which made it a bit uncomfortable.
While it dodged most of the meteors, when Garchomp used Rock Slide, it completely blocked Slowking's escape route.
"Slowking, use Protect and then Nasty Plot!" Cain shouted.
With no other choice, Slowking used Protect to block the attack.
