Pokémon: Chronicles of Freedom

Chapter 611 - 610: Mew’s Blood

The entire house was a single large room, which, relative to Mew's size, could be considered a rather spacious mansion.

In the center of the house was a large, round cushion—more accurately, a soft bed.

Although Mew had been absent for an unknown amount of time, the room remained remarkably clean. Especially the central cushion, which looked as new as if it had never been used.

Recalling Altaria into her Poké Ball to avoid any accidental damage to the valuable items within the room caused by her wings, Cain entered with Slowking. He activated his system to scan the area, hoping to leave no valuable object undiscovered.

Cain slowly approached the central cushion, which resembled a large, pink bed. Upon touching it, he noted how soft it was—anyone lying on it would sink deeply into its plush surface.

It seemed Mew lived quite comfortably.

Aside from the bed in the center, there wasn't much else notable in the house. However, the walls were covered with engravings: some pictograms, others ancient cave paintings, and a few inscriptions Cain couldn't decipher.

Unable to understand their meanings, Cain used his system to scan and store everything in the database. Although he didn't comprehend the contents now, he hoped to uncover some secrets in the future.

This had been Mew's dwelling, and Team Rocket would likely be able to find traces of its DNA. Whether on the engraved walls or elsewhere, with Team Rocket's advanced technology, even the smallest strand of Mew's hair would not go unnoticed.

Unless Cain decided to burn the house entirely to the ground—then perhaps no trace of Mew would be left, and Mewtwo might never be created.

Indeed, Cain had considered this possibility, but he quickly dismissed it.
