Chapter 534 - 533: The Little Groudon
Three days later, with everything in order in Leafy Town, Cain set off again with his Pokémon, this time even bringing Larvitar along.
The night before, Larvitar had entered its growth stage, so Cain stored it in its Pokéball without any issues.
However, Larvitar's current size was rather shocking. Its normal height should have been around 60 cm, but upon entering its growth stage, Larvitar reached a full meter tall.
With its considerable weight, it resembled a small growing monster, showing hints of Groudon in both size and mass.
Moreover, thanks to the Fragment of Groudon's armor it carried, Larvitar's ability to control Ground-type energy was far greater than anyone might have expected.
Cain was extremely satisfied with Larvitar's progress in mastering Ground-type energy.
After Larvitar finished its initial growth phase, Cain also had it practice using Rock-type energy. As expected, Larvitar demonstrated remarkable proficiency in both types of energy, fulfilling its role as a sandstorm beast.
The time Larvitar spent submerged in the Geocentric Cleansing Milk, while almost preventing its hatching, had yielded numerous benefits: not only had it increased its lifespan, but it had also significantly improved its weight, size, and energy control.
More importantly, its mastery of Ground-type energy could potentially reach even greater heights thanks to the Fragment of Groudon's armor strapped to its back.
When Larvitar evolves into Tyranitar, Cain will likely be able to call it "the little Groudon" without hesitation.
Even though Tyranitar is a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon, the Ground-type moves Larvitar has learned will remain.
