Chapter 200 - 200: Finding Something to Do
"Yes, because my mentor isn't aware of this. He still doesn't know that I can already make mid-level Pokéblocks on my own," Cain nodded.
Until now, Steven had finally realized what was going on; he'd been wondering how a basic-level Pokéblock could have those effects, but if it was an exclusive mid-level Pokéblock, it made sense, as their effects are much better than basic-level ones, and their price is quite affordable.
Many trainers, even those with some resources, prefer to choose mid-level Pokéblocks.
"Are you sure you want to sell the recipe for the mid-level Pokéblock? Wouldn't it be more valuable if you kept it to yourself?"
Some breeders value Pokéblock recipes above all else, as they are directly tied to their income. If they're disclosed, their recipes could become common, eliminating their profits.
"Yes, I'll sell it. After all, it's only intended for Miltank, and you know Miltank isn't a very common Pokémon among trainers, so..." Cain didn't finish the sentence, but his intention was clear: since few trainers have a Miltank, there isn't much money to be made.
After all, supply and demand rule, and if there's no demand, no matter how valuable it is, it's meaningless.
"That's true as well. Alright, I'll see if I can help you with that and give you an answer within three days," Steven responded, understanding Cain's perspective.
For Steven, helping Cain with this request was simply a matter of passing along a message. Although Cain was using his influence, Steven also saw it as an opportunity to establish a connection with the supposed advanced breeder behind Cain.
