Chapter 116 - 116: Complete Massacre
The old district was quite large, and they had spread out considerably. The scent of blood from the two Cain had killed didn't permeate the whole area, so he wasn't worried about being discovered.
Taking advantage of Murkrow's night vision and Gastly's ability to move through shadows, Cain soon found another pair.
Before they could react, he easily dispatched them the same way.
"Four. Based on my previous observations, there should be nine left," Cain murmured as he faded into the darkness.
Six! Eight!
Cain silently counted the victims. Originally, there were thirteen, and now only five remained.
That's when the faint scent of blood began to spread through the alleys, and the group finally realized something was wrong.
Through several signals, the leader of the remaining five gathered everyone. However, there was no trace of the arrogance and ferocity they had shown earlier. The only expressions on their faces were worry and fear.
The only one who remained somewhat calm was their leader. He had once been a small member of a major gang in Goldenrod City, but after failing in a power struggle, he barely survived and gathered a group of street thugs to sustain his life.
But despite everything, he was the only one among them who had seen the world.
He knew that some prodigies existed in this world—people who, despite their young age, possessed formidable strength. That's why he always acted with extreme caution, afraid of provoking the wrong person.
