Chapter 88 - 88: What Scorpion?
After shaking off everyone who was following him, Cain entered a small, shabby shop, completely different from the other stores around it.
Inside, he saw some worn-out shelves with food on the verge of molding and many cobwebs covering them. As he moved deeper into the shop, a strong stench of decay engulfed him.
Cain frowned but did not back out. This shop was a place he frequented in his past life.
It was a store that sold human skin masks.
Although in ruins, it was actually somewhat famous in the black market. If not for how run-down it appeared, it would have surely been a busy place given the owner's talent.
The shop owner was also an odd character. Despite his great skill, he wasn't interested in making money. He had an air of "take it or leave it," and never advertised his business. For this reason, his reputation spread only among regular clients.
Thanks to those few regulars, his shop managed to stay open.
Cain brushed aside a cobweb that was about to fall on his head. Even Murkrow, resting on his shoulder, couldn't help but use his Tailwind move to avoid the omnipresent cobwebs.
When he reached the back of the shop, an old man with glasses and a disheveled appearance sat behind the counter, focused on an unfinished human skin mask, not even glancing at who had entered.
