As Nyx watched Grace’s rapidly departing form, she couldn’t help but murmur under her breath, "Well... If there’s one thing we can say for certain, is that our home life won’t be boring."
"It wouldn’t have been boring even if it were the male bodyguards with us! We just acquired a freaking sand feline, and the four of us never got bored in each other’s company before!" Luna scoffed, sending Kaiden a glare for having invited this pair of oddballs into their home.
"Let’s give them a chance! They seem like nice girls," Aria whispered, more hopeful than confident.
Bastet, as always, simply yawned—unbothered, unfazed, and unconcerned by the mounting tension between the old team and the freshly added wildcards. She sprawled across the nearest sun-warmed crate like a lounging queen, tail swishing idly.
Kaiden stood at the center of it all, watching Rae excitedly jab Riven in the ribs while the latter muttered about circuit insulation and adaptive plating materials. Behind him, his Valkyries exchanged varied looks of disbelief, doubt, and something dangerously close to resignation.
And yet, for all the chaos and conflicting energy, he couldn’t help but grin.
