'Heh, should I test my limits today?' he said with an excited smile on his face.

He cast the spell again, and within 1.5 seconds, the spell finished materializing in front of him as he shot it out.
The average time of spellcasting for a mage averaged around 2–3 seconds, while geniuses tend to do it much faster—but that was for the spells they engrave in their SoC.
The other type was when they draw the magic circle outside using mana—that usually took much longer for others, typically ranging from 10 to 15 seconds.
