Chapter 31: Holding the Princess to Command the Lord
Wolf riders. This military unit isn't nonexistent; it often appears in the poems of bards.
It's widely known that bardic poetry may contain exaggerated elements, but there must be some real reference points; one cannot simply imagine things from thin air.
Therefore, Romon planned to shape the Thune Territory into the very image described in those songs.
"Capture the wolves, simulate!" he commanded mentally to the Lord Simulation tool.
Taming animals generally involves giving them a beating, making them suffer, then offering food as a reward.
Over time, wild animals are slowly tamed.
Under Romon's command, the knights of Thune Territory immediately charged at the wolf pack in the simulation blueprint. The CentaurPir, a strong and mighty centaur, led the charge, wielding a long spear. Another Centaur, Pito, flanked the wolves, shooting arrows with precision from his bow, each one hitting its target from a hundred paces away.
In this taming task, they played the role of the villains. They had to inflict harm on the wolf pack, but without causing too much damage.
And then...
Romon issued the second command, selecting characters: Talia and Nini, who were to bring large quantities of raw meat to the wolves' hiding spots for feeding.
They then carried out a zipper-style cross, consecutively issuing pending tasks to form a fixed loop.
