Chapter 30: Re-entering the Dungeon
After a few days of rest, Kane’s injuries have finally healed.
Now it’s time to continue advancing through the dungeon.
Since Kane has already passed the first level, but Kreya hasn’t entered this dungeon before.
The progress of a squad is based on the member who has advanced the furthest, so Kreya will follow Kane directly to the second level.
Once they were ready, they registered at the dungeon’s entrance, and today’s clerk was the same one who had helped Kane find teammates.
He also recognized Kane, and seeing Kane and Kreya registering as a team, he smiled and said, "Seeing Mr. Kane find a teammate, I can rest assured."
"Thanks to your help," Kane replied gratefully.
The clerk smiled silently without saying more.
The clerks by the dungeon always cross out names in their books each day; although it’s unrelated to them, they can’t help but feel a bit heavy-hearted until growing numb.
Although numb to the deaths of explorers, they still diligently remind and solve issues that could reduce deaths.
If they cross out one less name, their hands feel a bit lighter.
Back at the underground hall of the dungeon entrance, there are noticeably more explorers here today.
